From a survey of Insurance Brokers, it appears that SME businesses have a poor understanding of the risk that they face and are generally under-insured.
82% of brokers who were asked said that SME businesses lacked awareness of the areas where they needed insurance.
Technology risks, business continuity, management and environmental liability were cited as the most common areas where SME businesses lacked awareness of areas where they needed insurance.
Almost 92% of Insurance Brokers asked, confirmed that SME businesses were generally under-insured.
