A new cost recovery scheme from the Health and Safety Executive
From the 1st October the HSE are launching a new scheme (called Fees for Intervention) which could mean you paying for their inspection and intervention costs if there is any breach of health and safety law. So now is a good time to check your health and safety management plans to ensure you are not at risk.
We can help you with that as part of the overall insurance and risk management service we offer.
The HSE believes that businesses breaking health and safety law should be responsible for their time spent in helping to put things right. So they will now be charging £124 an hour for their inspectors and experts time spent with you. More details are in the brief risk management guide which can be found here.
We keep our clients constantly updated on risk management and health and safety issues like this that could affect their businesses.
It’s all part of our approach that provides so much more than simply giving advice on insurance matters alone. We look at the wider risk management picture and how insurance protection fits into that. If you would like to discuss our unique approach to protecting your business then please give me a call or find out more about health and safety risk management.
