Funeral Notice

The funeral of Andy Jenkins, Operations Director at Russell Scanlan, will take place at 2.00p.m. 4th September, at Loughborough Crematorium. Russell Scanlan will be closing the office on that day & the team will not be at their desks, as a mark of respect. Given current restrictions, attendance at the service will be limited to close family and friends. Russell Scanlan’s Managing Director, Bryan Banbury, alongside two colleagues from the business, will be present to represent the firm & the wider insurance industry & staff will be attending at the crematorium to pay their respects. It is with great sadness that we share the news that our Operations Director, Andy Jenkins, passed away over the weekend, at home and with his family by his side. Andy had been bravely battling cancer for some time but throughout had kept in contact with the team at Russell Scanlan to lend his support and to pass on his passion for the business. Andy’s career in the insurance industry began in 1978, in Birmingham, working for General Accident, and he continued in the sector, joining Russell Scanlan in 2002 and taking up his position as Operations Director in 2007. Russell Scanlan has lent its support to two distillery clients that were quick to switch their production lines from artisan gin to much needed hand sanitiser in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nottingham’s largest insurance broker, Russell Scanlan, has raised an impressive £2,611 at their Annual Charity Quiz Night in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society, the UK’s leading dementia support and research charity.
