Celebrating 20 Years of Partnership

For the past two decades, we have been fostering a strong relationship with the city’s renowned Nottingham Playhouse. This year, we’re celebrating our 20th anniversary of sponsorship, proving that our commitment to the arts and local community is unwavering.

As an internationally recognised theatre, Nottingham Playhouse boasts ground-breaking and world-class productions and fosters artist development. Beyond the stage, the Playhouse supports the community through respected outreach programmes, and corporate sponsors like ourselves play a critical role in sustaining these initiatives.

Stephanie Sirr, MBE, and Chief Executive of Nottingham Playhouse comments: “We really value our long-term relationship with Russell Scanlan. They have been stalwart supporters of our charity for over 20 years. Without the commitment of sponsors like Russell Scanlan, we would be unable to produce the work we do, with, by and for our communities. We are extremely grateful for their support.”

To mark this milestone, we gifted VIP Pantomime tickets, which are part of our sponsorship package, to two local charities: When You Wish Upon A Star and Forget Me Notts.

When You Wish Upon A Star, is a Nottingham-based charity founded in 1990, and aims to grant wishes to children living with life-threatening illnesses. With over 18,500 wishes granted so far, the charity’s work brings joy and relief to countless families.

Forget Me Notts, is a UK project that empowers local residents and businesses to support the social care system in addressing the urgent needs of vulnerable children in their communities.

The two charities were treated to a VIP experience at the pantomime, including the opportunity to meet the stars of the show backstage.

We are proud to renew our sponsorship with the Playhouse once again, especially at a time when the performing arts sector has faced such challenging times.
