Fundraising for When you wish upon a Star

When you wish upon a star is a charity whose primary aim is to grant the wishes of children suffering from life threatening illnesses. Wishes are a once in a lifetime experience for a child or a young person they are often varied and far reaching  but offer a distraction for a child who have undergone intensive treatment or lives with ongoing medical care. since they started in 1990, Wish upon a Star have granted over 14,500 Wishes for some very brave and courageous children and their families. All children have Wishes, but for these children and their families that Wish is much more precious.

A wish for some children is a holiday to Disneyland Florida or Paris to meet their favourite characters, for others it is a chance to meet their favourite pop star or sporting hero and some children simply want to have books or toys. Whatever the wish, ‘when you wish upon a star’ will aim to make that wish a reality.

When You Wish Upon A Star, rely solely on fundraising events and the generosity of the public which enables them to grant the Wishes of these special and courageous children. Your help is vital and with your support, we can provide a marvelous experience, during a very difficult time.

We are hosting a Charity quiz night to raise money for this charity, Friday 18th October at the prestigious grounds of Trent Bridge. Filled with an evening of quizzes, auctions and even a bottle tombola, we aim to raise a substantial amount for this fantastic charity.
