Gifted & Talented at Russell Scanlan
Months of hard work has paid off for our team.
Nearly three quarters of Russell Scanlan’s client facing staff now have a recognised insurance based exam qualification to their name. And we are planning to boost this figure to 80% over the next 12 months.
Our employees – who work at all levels of the business (and also across a multitude of sectors) – have had their heads in the books over the past year in pursuit of their Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) awards, certificates, diplomas and advanced diplomas.
These are recognised as industry standards across the globe, and offer our firm the opportunity to demonstrate the professionalism and credibility of the business to their clients.
As Andy Jenkins, Operations Director at Russell Scanlan, explained: “We are strong advocates of providing our staff with development opportunities, which is why the firm has encouraged all employees to step up to the mark and take the academic plunge.
“Not only will these qualifications help them to expand their knowledge and improve their career prospects, they will also ultimately enhance the reputation and service provided at Russell Scanlan as well as the insurance industry as a whole.
“The sector’s reputation has occasionally suffered over the years, thanks to the unscrupulous minority. If more people working in our profession, and their employers, pursue this level of skills development to prove they are fit to practice, then the insurance industry will ensure its long term survival and potentially avoid stifling regulation in the future.”
In addition to those achieving a professional status, a further three employees embraced the chance to progress by getting involved in other forms of learning and development opportunities.
Andy added: “This is a fantastic effort by all concerned and demonstrates the commitment to staff training and development which is core to any successful business.”
