Going Once Going Twice Sold to Russell Scanlan!
Nottingham-based Russell Scanlan has been appointed as the new insurance broker for one of the UK’s fastest growing auction houses.
John Pye & Sons, also located near the City, has taken on the firm to help the family owned business improve an already healthy bottom line and ensure its interests are well protected during a time of rapid expansion.
The forty year old company has seen a surge in growth over the past three years in particular, and is undergoing a huge development programme with the opening of seven new auction sites across the country.
This comes as a result of numerous new business wins; including two prestigious Government contracts involving the disposal of used police service cars and uninsured vehicles impounded by the DVLA. A number of well known high street chains are also using the firm to dispose of discontinued and end of line stock items.
Managing Director Adam Pye, son of the company’s founder John Pye, said: “Our company is very much a part of the Nottingham business community, and whilst we are delivering our ambitions to grow nationally, our roots are very important to us. That’s why we wanted to keep our commercial insurance packages with a reputable local firm who shares the same values as we do.”
As a leading independent insurance and risk managing firm, Russell Scanlan specialises in arranging and administering complex and time-consuming insurance programmes for large and small businesses.
Mike Dickinson, Development Director at Russell Scanlan, commented: “John Pye & Sons is an exciting and growing business that’s bucking the economic trend and is well known in Nottingham and increasingly nationwide. We’re delighted to be working with the company to help them manage any potential commercial risks across their multiple sites and sectors.”
