Judgement day at Nottingham Beer Festival

Nottingham Beer Festival- One of the biggest and best beer festivals in the country and Russell Scanlan are proud to be a part of it!

On Thursday 10th October, myself and Tony Rockley have been given the opportunity to sample the range of beers in  the SIBA Midlands regional beer competition in a bid to find the best beer in the Midlands.’

Thousands will unite at Nottingham Castle to enjoy a long weekend of fine ales, beers, ciders and wines completed with some live music to keep the evening going. Don’t be fooled by its name! The Nottingham Beer Festival offers an assortment of fruit beers, stouts, bitters, ciders and even barley wine!      

Steve Westby, Local CAMRA brewery liaison officer and festival organiser states: “the beer festival is renowned for offering the worlds largest selection of real ales and last year the festival has a fantastic 1,046 different cask beers on sales, which beat the previous world record of 936 (set up by us at the 2011 festival by some distance!)”

This year we will be raising the bar again and having at least 1,100 different casks of real ale! Whilst we are on the topic of fine brews- did you know we offer our  Masterbrew scheme?
