New client on message for Russell Scanlan
Nottingham based Esendex has appointed Russell Scanlan as its new insurance broker. The UK’s leading business SMS company approached the long-established broker after originally meeting at an Invest in Nottingham Club event this summer.
Since then, Russell Scanlan – which has been present in the City for 130 years – has reviewed Esendex’s range of insurance and business protection policies. Gaps in cover were identified, and Russell Scanlan has now put in place a specialist information technology package to ensure the company is fully covered.
Esendex is growing rapidly, and is well known across the globe for its forward thinking approach to mobile technologies. With many household names on its books, including Ocado, Virgin Media and BAA, Esendex is transforming business communication.
In recent years, the firm has opened offices in Barcelona, Melbourne and San Francisco, but it became apparent when Russell Scanlan started working with Esendex, that the global cover that was previously in place wasn’t robust enough.
As Mike Dickinson, Development Director at Russell Scanlan, explained: “It’s so often the case with high growth businesses – they are usually so focused on securing deals and implenting expansion plans that they don’t have the time to check their insurances are up to scratch.
“That’s why many companies choose to use a broker. It means they can concentrate on the job in hand, and let the insurance professionals go out to the market on their behalf and secure the best possible package.
“We’re delighted to be working with Esendex, and hope to develop an ongoing and fruitful relationship as they continue to extend their reach.”
Paul Gardner, Operations Director at Esendex commented: “Russell Scanlan has played an instrumental role in making sure we are best placed to take forward our ambitious growth plans. We currently provide text messaging services for over 15,000 businesses around the World and hope to double the size of our business in the next 3 years. It’s absolutely critical that we manage any risks and that’s exactly what we’ve been able to do with the support of Mike and his team.”
Esendex currently employs almost 50 people at its Nottingham HQ and is growing at more than 25% per annum. For more information, visit www.esendex.co.uk.
