Russell Scanlan employs three more experts to meet growing demand

We have recently strengthened our team to meet growing demand and appointed three new experts.

The appointments and a promotion have been made across the risk manager and brokers Nottingham and Leicestershire operations. They come in the wake of new business and additional client servicing demands.

Jill Strickland has joined the Nottingham team's Wellington Circus head office, with a brief to drive forward new business broking for smaller companies, as part of the SME team operation – a huge area of growth for the company. Her appointment comes as the company builds on the work of Ian Chaplin who retired at the end of the year.

Jill, who previously worked for Towergate, said: “My role will be to reach out to those new and small businesses that may be less aware of Russell Scanlan but who nonetheless need a level of care and attention even at such an early enterprise stage.”

Rob Wood has joined the commercial team as an account handler. He has made the move from the Giles Group's Derby office, recently bought out by Illinois-based AJ Gallagher.

He said: “Russell Scanlan's independent status is a real advantage in today's market. The larger commercial clients that I deal with regard continuity of service of high value and a broker that can build detailed knowledge of their business over time of great benefit.”

The Leicestershire team, in Desford, has welcomed Louise Boddy, previously with Aviva, as an account handler also tasked with providing client services support.

The company has unveiled an expanded role, with Richard Swain taking on the responsibility of commercial department supervisor.
