Russell Scanlan supports leading cancer charity
This year is an important milestone for us as we are celebrating our 130th year anniversary. We have chosen to mark the occasion by supporting the world’s leading cancer charity, which has also been around for over 100 years and is dedicated to saving lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.
Sadly, the disease affects so many of us in our day to day lives and more than one in three of us will develop cancer as some point in our lifetime.
Cancer Research UK has been at the heart of the progress that has already seen survival rates double in the last forty years. The charity’s groundbreaking work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has helped save millions of lives.

But by pledging our support to Cancer Research UK through various fund-raising activities, we can play just a small part in helping those affected by cancer increase their chance of leading a long and fulfilling life.”

Russell Scanlan and its 31 members of staff will be raising money continually throughout this anniversary year with the support of partners, clients and business associates. A number of interesting and fun events are currently being planned, including a quiz event. The firm is supporting Cancer Research UK through Unitas Alliance Ltd, which represents 13 of the largest and highly respected independent regional insurance brokers from across the UK.
