Bryan joined Russell Scanlan in 1988 as an Account Handler for our commercial clients before working his way up through the business to become a Director in 2001, and then Managing Director in 2007 after leading a successful MBO. In 2024, after a successful 17 years as MD, Bryan took a step back from his leadership role to take up the position of Chairman. His role focusses on client servicing and mentoring across the business. Mike Dickinson

Joining Russell Scanlan in 1999, Mike became a Director in 2005 and was part of the team that carried out the successful MBO in 2007. Before being made Managing Director in 2024, Mike held the position of Sales & Marketing Director, responsible for driving the business development programme for the firm. As well as heading up the business from its Wellington Circus office, Mike acts as a Managing Partner for the Midlands Hub of Russell Scanlan’s parent company, Acrisure, and sits on the Board of Directors for Russell Scanlan subsidiary, Building and Land Guarantees Ltd.  A keen follower and participant of…

Joanne Marriott

Joanne joined Russell Scanlan in 2020, having built influence within the East Midlands insurance industry for more than 30 years. With roles including Dinner Secretary, Treasurer and Deputy President for the Nottingham Insurance Institute over the course of her career, Joanne was elected President in 2021, a position she held for two full terms. Joanne was appointed to Russell Scanlan’s Board of Directors in 2024, having headed up the commercial and small to medium enterprise (SME) operations of the business. As well as overseeing her own client portfolio, she looks after products governance and FCA compliance.

Matt Franklin

Matt has been part of the Russell Scanlan furniture since 2004 when he first joined as an Account Handler, learning the ropes as a junior member of the commercial team. Throughout his time with the business, Matt has dealt with the face-to-face requirements for a wide variety of clients and is responsible for several significant client acquisitions. Appointed as Director in 2021, Matt is now involved with the general running of the business whilst looking after his portfolio of clients. Steve Wright

Steve first joined Russell Scanlan in 2014, dealing with all types of claims across the full client portfolio before being appointed as Claims Director in 2021. NEBOSH qualified, Steve also oversees the firm’s HR Department and can offer extensive advice in relation to Health & Safety matters. When he’s not kept busy by his daughters, Steve can be found on a golf course fuelling his love for the sport.

Simon Winiarski

Simon joined Russell Scanlan in 2008 and became part of the senior team as Director in 2013. Alongside supporting the general running of the business, Simon has his own portfolio of clients which he oversees. In his spare time, when he’s not helping out with his daughter’s football team he’s training for his next marathon challenge, after discovering his newfound love for running.
