Russell Scanlan Strengthens its Nottingham Team with Senior Appointment

Russell Scanlan team
Samantha Gray has recently joined us as Senior Account Handler. Samantha brings with her 31 years of experience and a wealth of knowledge across a wide range of industry sectors. She even already has her eye on the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement to see if there will be any implications for our industry.

Commenting on her appointment, Samantha said: “Russell Scanlan’s broad range of clients gives me the opportunity to apply my experience and knowledge. Many of them operate in key sectors and are important, in terms of productivity and jobs, to the success of the Midlands Engine, which aims to boost the region’s economy.

“There are some interesting and challenging opportunities, not least how businesses are going to be affected by the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement in November, as well as the wider, long term implications of Brexit.”

Bryan Banbury, managing director at Russell Scanlan, said: “Samantha joins a very experienced team and will be an asset advising clients across a number of business sectors. We are enjoying a busy period of activity and Samantha’s appointment consolidates the team’s approach to providing innovative and customer focused services across the SME sector as well as for our larger clients.”

A qualified chartered broker, Samantha began her career at the age of 16, undertaking a Youth Training Scheme – a government based initiative to get young people into the industry. She has previously worked for a number of insurance brokers including G & JE Bankart Ltd of Tollerton and Franklands Commercial Insurance Brokers.
