Russell Scanlan Support Glittering Launch of Nottingham Restaurant and Bar Awards
The team from Russell Scanlan attended the official launch of the new Nottingham Restaurant and Bar Awards (NRBA) 2017/ 2018 last night, in full support as one of the event’s sponsors.
Russell Scanlan mingled with fellow sponsors and some of the city’s leading professionals from favourite food and drink venues across the county, who will be hoping to make the nominee’s shortlist.
Mike Dickinson, Sales and Marketing Director at Russell Scanlan, attended the glittering launch event. He said: “Last night’s event was a great way to catch up with other sponsors and meet some of the people that help to make our city’s hospitality scene such a success. We’re thrilled to be sponsoring an event that is set to be a true celebration of the sheer talent and passion in Nottingham’s growing restaurant and bar sector, which is a huge contributor towards helping to boost the local economy.”
After a few years away, The Nottingham Restaurant and Bar Awards are back and certainly bigger and better than ever, with last night’s launch event at St Mary’s Church in the Lace Market attracting 200 attendees to mark the grand opening of the voting for 16 diverse categories. Guests were treated to gourmet hotdogs and a selection of delicious cocktails during the evening.
Russell Scanlan has chosen to sponsor the Best Bar or Pub category to celebrate Nottingham’s booming drinks scene – a perfect fit with the company’s bespoke brewery insurance offering, Masterbrew – a pioneering service which Russell Scanlan launched a decade ago to serve some of the country’s top independent brewers.
Mike continued: “Our knowledge of the brewing and distilling sector and love of discovering the very best independent ales and spirits, meant that the Best Bar or Pub category was a clear choice for us. We’re excited to see which of Nottingham’s many brilliant venues make the short list!”
The voting period for the awards has now officially opened (7th September) and will run until 6th October, after which votes will be counted and nominated venues in each category will be visited anonymously by independent judges. The winners will be announced at the official awards ceremony at Colwick Hall on 31st January 2018.
