We’re delighted to announce our Charity of the Year will be the Alzheimer’s Society, the UK’s leading dementia support and research organisation. We will focus our considerable fundraising efforts for the year ahead on the charity, which provides information and support, and funds research, to create lasting change for people affected by dementia. Our main event is our Annual Charity Quiz, which attracts around 15 teams and this year takes place at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground on Friday 8th November. We’ve presented a fantastic total of £2,000 to our chosen charity of 2018, Forget-Me-Notts, the UK-based project of Operation Orphan which helps vulnerable children across the East Midlands. We delivered a cheque to the charity’s office in Attenborough along with dozens of Easter Eggs to be gifted to children – Forget-Me-Notts collects chocolate gifts for children at Easter and Christmas, and for many it is the only gift they will receive. She brings 13 years of industry experience to the role, which has been created as part of our plans for expansion.
